Keith will assist you to lead yourself through challenges with awareness and understanding so you may release the pain and feel balanced again. Keith knows it takes courage to reach out for assistance, be Coached and move towards a better experience. Currently we are doing our best as we only know how to lead ourselves through challenges from from what we observed and witnessed being modeled to us from others. Leading yourself and others with awareness is quickly learned and therefore, you can expect to navigatge through challenges quickly with Coaching assistance. Invest in you and lead yourself back towards the more balanced, joyful you." Keith Miller, PCC, PNLP, CPC
"A a ICF Certified Leadership and Grief Coach I know that Life incluides many challenges. People want to have less pain and more joy in their life. When you explore and discover your current beleifs, you can have more control of what is causing you pain. Through this exploration you will see many choices and feel less trapped and more hopful. I will assist you to build a state of mind and beleif systems that support your desired life experience, so you are no longer on ‘automatic pilot’; you are now responding from the state of choice. Exploring your choices and options will generate new possibilities, and change your life with lasting results.”
Balance is at the heart of what Keith Miller’s work is all about. “I partner with people in creating balance so the walk through life is rewarding and joyful, attaining goals without undue stress or agitation. Keith uses breakthrough processes that facilitate a better quality of life and the releasing of past experiences, so that people can be fully engaged in their passion and purpose in present time. “
“I love connecting with my species” says Keith Miller, half tongue-in-cheek, quoting a line from his favorite movie, Harold and Maude. And it is the truth. Based in West Hollywood, Keith Miller works with a diverse clientele –he connects with others at a heart and mind level. Keith coaches those experiencing Grief, be that from Death, Divorce, breakup, empty nest syndrome , medical diagnosis including a condition or surgery, or, from the loss and changes of career. Keith Miller is a ‘connector’ – someone whose purpose is to connect and inspire others to be and live their greatest lives.
“Keith Miller’s early beginnings were difficult and challenging and he was on his own by the age of 16. “I have wonderful parents who were challenged themselves, yet from that experience I learned much of what has made me who I am today. I am grateful for my parents and for the events that have created my strengths.
“The strengths that are created from our challenges, become the main ingredients of our Success story in life”
“There is a purpose for everything, “says Keith, “and it is fantastic when clients connect with the gifts they received from past traumas. I have experienced many benefits from difficult times, including the ability to be more positive, resilient and creative, and the ability to of live in the moment. These early challenges were hard – yet they created the strength that led to fulfillment; which has defined my life.”
Keith entered the work force at 17 when he began training as an emergency medical technician (EMT) from 1975 thru 1977; he received his license by 18. He worked at Cedar Sinai hospital where he was touted even then as being “so good at connecting with patients” that his supervisors assigned him to “coach” women in the Pre/Post Operative area of surgery, to help them thru surgery and be a comforting presence afterward.
As life progressed, Keith went to law school and worked for a prominent attorney before realizing that legal work left him feeling disconnected. He was horseback riding one day in Griffith Park, when he arrived at the edge of Dante’s point overlooking Los Angeles, and asked himself, “What kind of life do I want? Do I want a to be stressed for the rest of my life feeling un-rewarded? Do I want to feel disconnected?” The answer was clear. He quit his job in the law firm and left law entirely.
He soon after partnered with four others and opened a hair salon in 1980 after completing his education as a stylist. Keith found his niche as he was able to be with others, connect one on one, and contribute his gift to others as a talented stylist. He subsequently opened his own salon and became a successful business man.
Personal growth is fundamental to Keith Miller’s life. In his teens, Keith was introduced to Werner Erhard’s EST and took to it like a fish to water. His personal growth study has been ongoing ever since. He has experienced "The Forum", “The Course in Miracles”, “The Advocate Experience”, PsyK, iPEC Coach Training, NLP, and other personal development/enlightening trainings. Keith’s training at UCLA as a certified Mediator brings value to his coaching practice with couples and individuals alike as he assists in resolving the conflicts that brings relationships to higher levels.
Keith knows that challenges are in all our lives. In 1993 Keith had a heart attack at age 36 followed by five surgeries, and a major car accident in 1999; both these events were experiences that awakened Keith even further. Keith views these challenges as opportunities to more forward and live out other passions and interests.
Keith says, “This is life, life happens this way – it nudges you to look at different paths.” How would it be for you to be grateful and view hard challenges as a new opportunity for growth?
Keith studied psychology but decided that becoming a traditional therapist was not as rewarding for him as coaching. Coaching was appealing to Keith because it focuses on the present moment and moving forward. “The present moment is where we have choices. When we are trained to be awake in the Now, or the present moment, we can use our energy to be available to the endless possibilities we have in our lives, rather than being swept along the unconscious wave of negative self-talk. When we take responsibility for being in charge of our lives, we then embrace everything that happens to us and then can choose all those good things in our lives to be our predominant focus. We challenge ourselves to stretch and grow, to focus on what works, to value gratitude. Gratitude and balance, balance and gratitude – this is what my work is about and the results people get are fabulous. “
“Life Coaching is focused in the moment with action plans to move forward, getting results now. Together we achieve a positive, proactive and resilient mind-set that inspires you to take action in this moment. This invites you to transform, to see that you can create your daily life consciously and with clarity, embracing balance, gratitude and passion."
